| Description | Page: http://springrts.com/wiki/Games The games website linked above does not understand what open source is: * Freeware is proprietary software given away without cost, and is never open source. * The games shown have Non-Commercial clauses on their content, only BY and BY-SA creative commons licenses are open source. Non-commercial and non-derivative terms are NOT open source. * Being free of cost does not make it open source. Cost and freedom are two very different things. * The license on the code is a good open source license but you could still sell an open source game. So there are commercial open source games (even with truly open source content too) Conclusion: All of these games should be labelled as ether free to play, commercial etc. mentioning open source just seems to confuse the page. It doesn't know what it's trying to say here and I think it should just be clear what the game in total is in terms of cost and maybe a sub bullet point about the content restrictions etc. | ||||||||

You are the one who is confused. Freeware/Open Source: Evolution RTS is both. http://www.source.evolutionrts.info The same goes for EVERY single game under that heading. All are free. All are open source with public repositories. |
