Summary0002676: Screen corruption on start
DescriptionIn fullscreen after "Loading LuaUI...." appears on screen the desktop becomes corrupted. The screen appears to refresh every few seconds. Had to kill spring through SSH.

UPDATE: On my second attempt the message: "radeon_bo_fixed_map failed to map bo" is repeated in the console. Then I found this which seems relevant:

Posting this bug anyway in case others are affect or workarounds can be done in Spring. Feel free to ignore if this should be fixed in Mesa instead.
Additional InformationNOTE: I've recently updated to the newer open-source radeon driver for my HD6870. I can't rule out a bug in that driver or KMS (Kernel Mode Setting) at this point. Will try more experiments including running windowed and switching back to closed-source driver.

without investigation this looks like a drivers-problem as it seems currently to work fine on most other platform/driver combinations.

Attached a screenshot. I'm quite positive this is a bug in the radeon driver, possibly in combination with DDS textures. I've reported it to the Mesa list: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41244
