Summary | 0002268: Option to disable map/mod hash checks for dedicated server
Description | Disable map/mod hash checking if map/mod hash of host is set to 0. OR Make map/mod hash not depend on springcontent so it does not change with spring versions.
Additional Information | Atm, dedicated server must have mod and map hash in its script for clients to connect. This hash changes with spring version. However, dedicated servers run by autohosts don't actually have mods and maps locally. So there is very complex system in place which extracts hashes from clients using unitsync, sends it to master server - http://zero-k.info/ResourceList.aspx and autohosts load these data to know what to put in configs. This system is complex to maintain and causes many problems - there are various delays, it makes clients very complex, makes updating single player missions (mutators) almost impossible etc. It also makes testing new spring versions very complex.
