Summary | 0001836: attach-unit / transportUnloadMethod=2 conflict |
---|
Description | It seems that using the attach-unit command in the TransportDrop() callin of a unit script, when the unitdef uses transportUnloadMethod=2; (land flood) does not work correctly - it drops the unit without reattaching it.
This is problematic as often in a transport script, when a unit is picked up it is attached to the fictitious '-1' piece so that the unit is hidden. However when dropping, the unit is attached to another piece which is moved by the script to the drop point given to it by the engine.

Additional Information | You can use an SVN version of S44 to test this, (rev 2416+ http://spring1944.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/spring1944/trunk/S44LiteRelease.sdd/). GEROpelBlitz is an ideal transport to test, GEROpelBlitz.bos/cob is the script (I haven't tested this issue with a lua unit script but I imagine it is still present there too), GEROpelBlitz.fbi in units/ger/vehicles is the def. GERRifle is a good unit to test the loading with. In the current state (transportUnloadMethod=0) the units are correctly unloaded to the positions given by the order (area unload works best). When using landflood, the units are dumped in the middle of the truck rather than moving with the load_arm piece. |
