sim: gunships can use smooth mesh now. useSmoothMesh=0 to disable.

there are still interesting problems; in particular, telling a gunship to
land near a high cliff causes a consistent, predictable and wrong behavior.
solution requires tracing differences between ground and smooth mesh
between self and destination.
