| Description | some settings could be tweaked a bit. After fresh 85.0 install for example: -unit icon distance is set to maximum: units never turn into icons, no matter how far the zoom (in BA7.63) -playername is "invalid" -> makes it look like a bug, use "SpringPlayer"? -shadows are off but water: reflective. I think if you can run reflective water, then you can also run shadows. If not, then shadows:on water:basic might be the more popular choice? -Grass:3 seems too high for computers that can not run shadows (at least I always put it to 0 or 1) -screen resolution is "0x0" | ||||

icon distance is fine imo default player name was changed to "UnnamedPlayer" shadows are on now grass duno screen res 0x0 means select desktop resolution |

With default UnitIconDist = 10000 units NEVER turn into icons. I use UnitIconDist = 250, this way they turn into icons just as TA sized models become too small to see well. Of course this depends on monitor, settings etc but in that range seems more sensible default. Maxparticles=1000 Seems very low: Effects often "cut off" I use Maxparticles=4000 and in situations that cause many particles (big fights, lots of self-d etc) other things seem to be more expensive and number of particles makes no/little difference. |

I find UnitIconDist > 150 to be pretty suboptimal in ZK. Seconding maxparticles increase. |
