sun, position, direction, sunDir, sun position, sun direction, sun grid

This grid is meant to show on a 2d plane, where the sun position will be on your map and the values needed for x and z axis positioning.

WARNING - It is entirely possible that the engine causes these values to be mirrored when the map loads, so pay attention. You can make it super easy to see where the sun position is by lowering it significantly (e.g. y = 0.2) and using terrain and trees to see the shadow positions. A little janky, but it works.
