Lag problem

Post by manored »

Lately I have been lagging on spring a lot more than I used to... anyone haves a idea of what might be piercing the speed of my computer? (already took care of the heat)

Its not really something like (my spring games are lagged and I wanna know why) its like (my computer seens to have suddently lost part of its speed and I wanna know what might have caused it). Also, this aparear to have begun after my computer shuted down suddently winhout reason. It was because of overheat, so can it be that something got burn?

worm=computervirus that spreads using emails or network.

since you say your whole computer runs slower than normal, you might want to check for virus. I use Antivir but its german so maybe someone else can recommend something.

When have you cleaned the CPU cooler the last time? By cleaned I mean completely removed dust and dirt from it. On the other hand something else could be broken. Do apps/games other than spring "lag"?

My old pc suffers huge speed slowdowns in sprign after 20-30 minutes, despite the hardware being perfectly capable of handling it.

The cause? A 350Watt PSU. I installed a new motherboard and cpu (Pentium D) and start up for windows got slower, despite the previous cpu being a lowly celeron D 2.4Ghz 5 years old.....

Try using "crap cleaner", do a virus scan and a defragmentation. (accesories->System tools)

Otherwise, format. Backup, format. It's the best, universal solution.
