I came across Spring about a year ago, and the concept looked pretty cool, so I gave it a whirl. I'd played TA a good amount with my friends, so I knew the concept, and instantly fell in love (Got addicted to?) Spring. I stopped playing it a month later, only because I was wasting incredible amounts of time with it. Then picked it up again about two months ago after watching a video of Supreme Commander. I was so eager to try out Supreme Commander ever since I saw a video of it. Then, a couple days ago, I downloaded the demo. I was so excited to give it a shot...

Then I got a chance to play it... Wow. I can't explain how much anger I feel. I personally think it's one of the biggest pieces of garbage I've ever come across. I could go on for days expressing my hatred for this, and worst of all, these guys are going to get payed for it.

For the last five years, every single game I have gotten excited over has been a horrible let down, and I honestly thought this was a surefire hit. It's based off a game that I know is well put together, by a group of people who've proven themselves... how can it go wrong? *I don't know.* All I know is that it did.

I consider TA Spring leaps and bounds superior to *Supreme* commander. I would take a projectile yellow sphere any day over some crazy pretty blue orb of destruction that follows a simple line and makes an enormous fireworks display of computer crashing goodness. It seems so absurd to me that a group of people making a game in their spare time for FREE can do a far better job than people getting payed to do it.

I've got $60 sitting aside for Supreme commander which I will donate to you guys in stead. I believe everyone in this forum who was going to go buy Supreme Commander should do the same. You guys DESERVE it.

Sorry if my rant went on a little long.

Uhm, well, the developers are dedicated, and I know we as a community love them for this game. I would echo your sentiments, but that might cheapen them, so I will merely applaude your statement.

Lol nub!

Spring (with BA) is the best game made so far IMO, and that's why I stick around, even though I really shouldn't be spending time playing video games anymore.

lol same here, maybe I should hate spring instead of loving it because of all the time it has stolen.

Although I wish spring had a huge community like SC will have. I've thought about switching over to SC just for the large community. It kinda sucks that there aren't really any active competitive clans on Spring.

ya' know, I would love to spec a match of you and steve vs another pair of ninja masters.

They are mid-level ninja masters, Smoth. You want the top of the heap. That means, sadly, people who are no longer either at their peak, or playing at all.

I call shenanigans! Steve and cabbage showed me how they could teleport from shadow to shadow dispatching people!

Shadowdancer prestige class. You only need a few levels in it.

Honestly there is nothing better than steve in top form. He's right up there with Day and err.. Day - they're just out of practice (blame Canada and SCO!)

I have to concur though. The last multiplayer game to fascinate me so thoroughly was Enemy Territorry, and that says a lot.

I demoed Spring to an open source activist a few weeks ago, and he was so utterly flashed by it, it was a joy to watch. He couldn't believe the powerful features, the scale, the really quite good graphics, the nicely functional lobby, the massively flexible control system, the whole thing really. He could hardly belive it was a free project. Spring is a seriously impressive project, can't stress that often enough.

What stuck in my mind over anything else when I first played spring was the bombers. They display what is great about what they have created, true physics. I nearly cried when the SC bombers dropped their bombs straight down in a static pattern. I felt like I was playing an RTS from 10 years ago.
