I saw that in the new build when I tried it last night (just come back to spring). So are they planes that can land on water then?

Both, depending on the mood of the modder they can be set to land underwater (canSubmerge=1) or on the water surface (floater=1).

its the future so anything is possible :P

and lets all be clear that the tags define where they land. Planes won't fly underwater (except during landing/take-off) so no super sneak attacks :)

Well, I wouldn't expect a plane to take off from under the water. How much more sneaky could you get?

Yeah, that was one of my favorate tactics in OTA. Set a bunch of torpedo and fighter seaplanes in a cross-continent canal and wait for the transport ships.... Boom, no more navy.

Also, construction seaplanes are GREAT contingency plans. Hide them underwater in a far corner of the map for that rare successful base attack.

'Haha-killed your buiders!'
'Say hello to my kbot rush...'

underwater seaplanes was one of my favorite things in old TA too, i would play with my cousins, and i would hord about 90 seaplanes underwater near they're base, then when the time was right, boom :P

You could have a cloakable unit that its also radar invisible... :-)

Against the sea planes you can just make sonars and submarines... :-)

Too bad you can't make it only radar invisible when cloaked...

Or a massive decloak radius for a crappy workaround.

I dont really think its a good idea because it would make it completly invisible and that means completly indestructible... :-)

Better than forcing you to make units completely radar invisible to make them invisible to radar and sight when cloaked. Annoying especially for units that would be cloaked for maybe 10% of the time.
