Fog of War modification.

I've recently gotten a new graphics card, and I've been very happy enjoying the shadows that my new card can handle, but I've noticed when I enter FoW/LoS (or whatever you want to call the option where what you cant see is tinted black) - the shadows disappear, I can see the logic behind its disappearance because shadows wont be able to be seen well in that mode anyway.

This isn't just about the shadows either, id like the FoW to look more like every other RTS, basically prioritising the visibility colour over the radar colour and enabling shadows and perhaps lessening the transparency of the "Fog".

Maybe allowing for greater customisation over FoW by the players is a good idea because changes described above may result in mixed opinions.

This is just an annoyance I've found, I'm not going to stop playing spring because of it.

It isnt a 'fog' at all, it's just an overlay on the ground texture, and shadows can cause misinformation.

I am using the RTS definition of "Fog" not the 3D development definition.

Spring doesn't really use the RTS definition of Fog of war. It just has LOS and Radar. What I think might be interesting is customizable LOS coloring... Perhaps something like the nano colors? Modder overrides player if they want to?
