Flexible Alliances

This is probably MTR but what the hell :

Currently, the way alliances work in spring is pretty unflexible.

They're permanent and they don't allow for example :

Player B is allied with Player A and C

BUT

Player A and C are at war.

This isn't possible in spring, because for B to be allied to C and A He'l need to be on the same ally number as player C and A but if player C and A had the SAME ally number then they aren't in a state of war.

Suggestions :

1. Allow examples such as the above.
2. In-game alliances/breakups possible if players aren't allied via ally team numbers.

Ex. :
A = 1
B = 2
C = 3
D = 3
player A could ally with B and later on break-up his alliance with player B.

BUT

Player C and D cannot breakup their alliance nor ally with a diffrent team number.

Er, catch my drift yet?

'Scuse me for the extremely poor explaination - I fail at explaining things.

You need a <num players> square matrix of flags saying if player A is hostile to player B.... and an interface for it... Someone make a patch!

Or a game where everyone starts in a single alliance - which of course breaks down pretty quickly...
