Drivers problem with NVIDIA GeForce 6600

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 6600
Drivers version: 84.21
Game just closes before starting. It opens the window, but closes it instantly.
This doesnt happen with old drivers 71.24
I toggled all possible things off from the settings, lower resolution, etc.
Anyone know other fix than getting older drivers?

Odd, never did that to me with old, new, or beta drivers.

Try the new 90 series drivers, if they wont work then revert to old ones.

I tried new drivers: 91.31 but still does the same

It's probably not your drivers - I have a 6600 and can load it fine (it does close itself randomly but I put that in another thread, and people with other cards have the same problem.)

I have a 6600 and 84.21 drivers, and Spring works fine. It must be something other than the driver version.

Yeah its weird, really weird.
When i use these 71.89 drivers, i can play spring and the other games too.
With even older drivers i could only play spring and some old games, not new games.
But with newer drivers i couldnt play spring, but i could play some new games.
