Like the game so mutch, but the text under the main buttons is not easily readable, is this possible to put some buttons like these ? The interface on the left could be reduced in width and buttons would be more readable...
what do you think of it ?

Sh... can't post links !! ?
check this url

i'm currently developper in a game company so im not affraid of writing a patch, but i don't want to write code on my side, release my own ta-spring version, and have all this work wasted on next release. i'm sure one can help another way.
anyway ill check at the programmer section for now and try to build the game from source code.

Submit it to them and they'll probably accept it. Do make sure to read up in the Development forum about the New GUI first, though.

Every single player would love you forever if you made the GUI not suck...

next step is to insert a line break in the commands like "fire at will" to split in two line "fire" and "at will" to have bigger font size.

Todo: make the economy bar readable. It'd help a lot if background was opaque.

well I like how it looks peous. It's better then the old one. people with a somewhat lower resolution had trouble reading the small fonts. this is a good solution.

Holy shit, readable menu text! :O Now just scoot the GUI elements over so they snap to the screen edge and make the buildpics as tall as they are wide and the current GUI code will at least be acceptable!

I've been wonderin how many failed "miracle lua gui"s it would take before someone starting coding in some stop-gap measures.

Thanks peous.

Here is the patch. It modifies UI drawing. keys '<' and '>' change opacity of GUI.

looks like like this

or this depending on the GUI opacity.

That's a big improvement over the current style. I hope it gets implemented for the next Spring version.
