hehehhhehe...this game makes sick, tiwsted sence.

First there was Battlefield 1942. Set in the past this game was a BLAST!

Then there was Battefeild 2. Set in the present, this game was gritty and very very very very fun!

now...there is what deserves to come next...

Battlefeild:2142

*snickers* c'mon, how many times do I have to say that Mech will NEVER HAPPEN, they are completely impractical, a tank is much simpler and much easier to put armor plating on, a mech is just TOO fragile.

Well atleast it isn't battlefield Fanstasy or something...and why do games always have to be set in the 22nd century? mid/late 21st century would be adequat for the technology shown.

definitly not a game I will get, I like my modern non-imagined stuff better.

mechs wont happen untill we can get em move like humans  when they can dodge bullets there's no reason to have bulky tanks

Zoombie, i wonder, do you anything else right now than copy and past links to trailers for video games into this forum?

Please, open one thread, call its "Trailer-Park" and post every new trailer you find in there.

Thanks.

I'm split on mechs. The walkers in that BF:2142 trailer don't look that bad (except, they are armed with Gatling guns as a primary weapon?) because they don't try to be outlandish. What I don't like (read: despise with a passion) are really flashy amazingly ridiculously nonsensical anime BS mechs.

Personaly, i prefer hovertanks to mechs any day.

I could see a practical side to mechs if they acted like the Core Gimp, and were amphibious AND under the water... Say a tank couldn't do that... then mechs that could would be the epitome of sea based assault stealth... Combined with a first wave of hovers, that engage the enemy defences, your heavy stuff comes marching out not long after, then your airdrops arrive....

I agree with firecrack, hover tanks are the future, you can armor a tank more and esspecially hover tanks, the only thing that would rival is a mech with a jump jet which is VERY unlikely, maybe a hover mech then?

Battlefield series has been going downhill since 1945.

Battlefield 2 wasn't too bad, I did miss blood and gore though, damn EA always want to make their war games kid friendly...

The lack of blood in 2 was not a good in BF2.
