With more and more maps using features coming, maybe spring should start showing how much metal/energy they are worth reclaiming?
And MAYBE before the newgui (may it rest in peace) resurrects itself?

We desperatly need new tree features, and a greater variety, preferably nto all exactly the same height....

Just played it
it has great looks but has some issues
So are there a lot of metal spots i would say half them.
Also there a lot of trees on, could be a bit less it's even hard to place a mex at times
also those rocks look really familiar

aye the rocks are from Painter Desert Remake, I retextured them , changed there stats, and altered there sizes, but they are the features that showed me how to get the s3o features to work right and show up in game. To my knowledge they were the only s3o features to be released as of yet.
I also wish to thank my lovely Fiancee (for helping me with my maps), and aGorm, Caydr, and Forboding Angel for their help as well.
Thanks Guys
I have a map that I have been working on for some time that is in my opinion going to raise the benchmark for map making (as far as looks go) but have been waiting to get this feature stuff to work right and will now wait till they fix the features. The map is a spaceport Forboding Angel has seen what I have so far and he seemed to realy realy like it....... lets see about a screen shot.....

I went like "Aahhhhh" on Graystone..
Starscape makes me go "AAAHHHHHHH Fokking Sh*t!"
But I still have a little thing you could improve, you seem to use the original metal texture from OTA.
If you would make your own it would give your work a bit more prestige.
But that's just a small remark.

ohhh and just to ease a few minds this is
NOT a metal map
Though I know that it looks like one.

bah, if could model I would so something super cool, but alas.
Agorm, I felt the same way. I wnet into the actual map and drove a jeffy around. I still have the mapfile. Any time I need to humble myself, it is there as a reminder ;P
However, the maps I like to make are tropical /greenish, so I still have a little niche for myself ;P
Trust me those screenies don't give the map 1/100 of the justice it deserves.
When he releases it you'll be too busy getting your keys unstuck to play.

Guess teh real problem is I just dont have the time att he moment to show you up...

I spend teh last 5 mounths not making maps and i still have practicly nothig to show for it other than a few screens
Take it your gonna wait out for better moddel in sight detection mate?
Also.. are the roads textured or features? Rather nosey, Finaly I can ask someone else questions on what tehy did.
