not ANOTHER WW2 mod!
there is:
-Operation Barbarosa (Defunct)
-TA:1945 (still under development by Nitrous)
-AA:TA
-WW2 Reborn (although not a historical WW2 recreation)
i'm sure I might have missed some others.

Currently I've seen one in development for spring and it sucks.
So shut up and leave or be productive.

Spring:1943, then?
Honestly, 40mm weapons for the germans and russians. Ok. Great historical accuracy! (only the british used 40mm as a standard calibre) Nevermind your Russian '88'.
To be fair i have no problem with you or your mod, its an arcade, CnC type approach to it. AATA is a simulation. Just a difference of taste.
But do not dismiss it out of hand having played a very buggy TA port!
As for taking that tone with G_Z, well, it just goes to show how ignorant you are. (Of course, Spiked was very much as pigheaded as you are.

I was just using that as an example given to me by the other people over a smaller weapon to be used their instead. I was thinking pak-40, unless you have a better suggestion?
This is why I'm not the historian.
And I found WD to be equally unplayable.
PaK-40

PaK-40 is a 75mm gun, quite powerful (good against any tank found in 1943). There were smaller German AT guns: PaK-35/36 37mm, PaK-38 50mm. 37mm gun was barely able to damage T-34 (very specific places on the tank's hull had to be hit), KV-1 tanks ignored 37mm guns completely (but there were a lot of lighter armored vehicles at the beginning of war).

Uhh, yes there will be naval warfare. However we're trying to get the land units sorted first, however if you're a modellor or texturer you're welcome to help out and speed things along.

The 85mm wasn't used as an AT weapon to any great extent afaik, though?
It's easy to build both sides to the same tree at first glance but once you look at the underlying doctrine...

I dunno, in blitzkrieg 85mm kick tank ass easily though but they arent very mobile plus Russian already have decent AT gun (76mm) unlike the early germany...
bout build tree I dont care about uniformity... .Just look at WD buildtree mess

real war ain't warcraft II.....

About uniformity, that is just a base build tree, sides will vary although not a great deal.

I don't care if it's a tank or a static structure, but you boys have got to include Dora:

Yep. That Dora is real (the photos are fuzzy so I posted the illustration). It was built to crush the Maginot line. Needless to say, it was never used for that purpose... it wasn't ready at the time. The damn thing actually barely got any action because it was completed too late in the war.
Another fave is the Paris gun:
Why is it called that? It was made in ww1 to shoot Paris. From Germany. Not anything in Paris, not the Paris Barracks, or the port. Just Paris.
