Spring RTS Engine

Hi,

picked up my new laptop today. First priority is ofc getting spring up and running, i understand you guys miss me on DSD.

So i download and install with default settings, fire up SL.
Managed to remember my pw too, so just downloaded a map and mod from the lobby and joined a gameroom. Whenever I press start in the bottom right to fire up the game windows just flashes me a dialog that quickly disappears. It says something like "C:\Program is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable executable or batch file". In SL, in settings, the "spring" tab settings point to the correct location of the exe. Any ideas? I'm on Windows 8 (damn this gonna take some time getting used to ) on a laptop with i7-3612qm/gt730m.

install somewhere without spaces in the path.

OBTW, "test spring" feature works flawlessly

Try another lobby. How about tasclient?

but is tasclient still maintained?

Try unchecking the 'use only installed path' option and then click browse to set the location of your exe and unitsync manually?
