post-explosion texture dont reflect the terrain deformation

Have you any idea how to solve the graphic problem (on example image). Everytime some weapon changes the terrain more than a bit, the post-explosion texture is not consistent (becouse some parts of changed terrain are above the new texture, some below.
One idea was to put this post-explosion texture (scar) more up, in bigger height. But I think its not much elegant solution :).
