How would you do this with a widget?

TBh, the lock is very frustrating to me as a player. I had wanted it to be attacked to a modifier key (like shift or something?), as the current behavior is undesirable.
It's not like pulling teeth or anyhting, just just frustrating because it gets in the way more than it helps, however, in certain situations I LOVE it. Like taking out a big beefy tank and being able to target lock and micro like hell with little tanks beating it up. But it shouldn't really be the default behavior (imo).

shift is for queueing, but yeah, some key or toggle would be cool.

I think this is better off with lua. Many people seem to want slightly differing interfaces for this feature and I doubt you can please everyone.
I have already implemented this feature as a gadget with a general interface that widgets could use to set and remove a target. This way people could have any behaviour they like without waiting for a lengthy engine release cycle to hone in on the exact implementation they want.
