Disappearing "isfeature" units

Strangely, it seems certain units which are set to "isfeature=1;" (thereby making them turn into map features upon completion, such as dragons teeth) disappear as soon as they're completed. If you hold the cursor over the spot where you built it, you get the reclaiming cursor as if it's there...
AA had this problem with fortress walls (gigantic anti-bertha walls) but I solved it by removing them in favour of the plasma deflector. But now there's a new problem. Seems that Core floating dragons teeth have this problem too. The problem is also present in Uberhack: Spring 1.3's version of the same unit.
Any ideas why this might be?

They're broken in XTA too...

Simply put, no features--not IsFeatures, not trees/placed-on-map features, not corpses, none whatsoever--can have more than one piece in the 3do. The feature must be the root object and it only reads the root object.

Could this have something to do with Spring not reading 3DO object tree for features (corpses included)? AFAIK only the root object is shown, not any of the child objects, so, if the root object is a groundplate (usually not textured), the feature is invisible.
Edit: Gnome was faster with reply.

It's good to see someone else on the ball, though! Maybe one day I'll get some rest

An obvious fallacy! How come the Arm one works in AA, even though it's directly stolen from Uberhack?
Oh, thanks for the help though.

Gnome is absolutely right, I had the same problem with corpses...
