I see no reason to not allow polls in this subforum, emmanuel is banned, there's just no reason not to.
I would start a poll about this, but eh...

It seems quite random which subforums allow polls.
Imo allow polls in all subforums, if it gets annoying or abused that thread can just be killed.

I think it was because of emmanuel and his... strange... polls. He's gone now so polls can be allowed again.

to my memory, polls were removed from general discussion because random people would start polls to get their point trough ( most of the time badly biased or ill-conceived), and then demand for action to be taken upon them ( which wouldn't work even for sanely placed since they often subjected arguments where democracy doesn't apply, such as development, etc )
