Hello, I'm new here.

Hello, everyone. I'm new here.

I've been a Total Annihilation fan since 1998 when my best friend introduced me to the game. But today, I just found out about TA spring, which has rekindled my interest.

Right now, I'm on my lunch break, but when I get home I'm gonna download TAspring and try it out.

Just so you know, don't be suprised if many unit stats have been changed.

The SY's, the ones that made the game, have included their own balance mod for spring. "XTA"

Also... make sure you try pressing CTRL+Middle Click to make the camera switch to a useable view

Read my stuff ( http://taspring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1688 ) I write storys and things, and constantly lose at TA Spring. But hey, i found that hovertanks can really hit the enemy at a undefended harbour and waste the enemy from the inside!

because Cavedog never made them, and 3rd party lvl2 hovers haven't made it into the popular Spring mods.

when playing xta be sure to build at least one llt in early game (2-5 min).

must read this at some point

and fizzwizz, there is a very good hover unit at TAUCP, cool missiles.
(and some other hover tanks at some other mods).

I think it would be cool if level 2 hover units were weaker armorwise, but faster and with better range... then you could still have normal hovers as like shields...

im for lvl 2 hovers! They are my fave type o unit, as A) They look really really cool and B) You can use them to kick the enemy very hard in a ususaly non defended area, that is there harbour.

Also great for swam maps that are 'eventually' going to come out.

I plan on making a swamp map, although it's about #3 on my map list right

not swamp rats, nor underbrush, but with any luck, it will have a bit more swamp-like set of trees. It is still a ways down the road though.
