How can i take a unit add a light source around it in some point an than bake the formed shadows on the original texture?
also will that give me the per face shadowing effect 3do models have?

AO bake means ambient occlusion, and ambient comes from all directions. You can, of course limit the direction ambient can come from, by putting in planes that block ambient light (like a ground plane).

A great tool for this is xNormal

That's not AO bake, that's simply a light/shadow bake (it can be called different things). Yes, it's possible. How it is done varies between apps. What are you planning on using?
