Is there a widget with the following functionality?
1. When you lay down a heavy mine, it is automatically set to hold fire;
2. When an enemy com walks on it the widget explodes the mine; and
3. No other units will trigger the explosion

Well with the widget you could place many, many minefields and not have to pay attention to them... Detonating the right mines by hand (and quickly) is not practical when you have 100 mines.

it disables the proximity fuse, but if an unit steps exactly on the mine, it will still explode

Its not practical to make a 100 mines just to kill a comm
And if it is you shouldn't be so blind to not watch where the comm is walking

counter request: a widget which minesweeps in front of comm automatically. [as if it was hard to do by hand]
When something is close to mine, the mine becomes visible (cloak radius). You can de-mine with jeffy or flea regardless of mine's fire state.

You can de-mine by placing an llt nanoframe in front of the comm periodically.
