It's been out for some time, everyone who has a M&B serial can play it.

I like it quite a bit. Manual-block dueling in particular has a lot of depth to it. It is what lightsaber dueling in the jedi knight series should have been like. Except here you can take a sword, or a giant axe, or a huge hammer, or a big piece of wood with spiky bits of metal, or a spear, etc.

Other game modes (CTF, team DM) play as you might expect, CTF tends to stalemate or be a rampage, team DM is really fun (FF can be annoying since people tend to walk into groups swinging axes randomly) but the game needs stricter team switching rules, since right now people teamswitch to the winning team all the time. Battle/siege are pretty sweet, although more frustrating since you can die pretty randomly sometimes (and in battle/siege once you die you sit out for the rest of the round).

worth checking out if you own M&B (or bought it for $5 on steam like me), it is a lot more engaging than regular M&B.

But how did it change the singleplayer?

uh I'll try the beta... which downloads at 50 kbps. riiiiiight...

the beta is multiplayer only. they're not releasing the singleplayer stuff until the game is shipped.
