Mod Option: Progressive Mining dicussion

- Added 'Progressive Mining' game mode (default off), all mines start at 25% efficiency and raise to 125% over a few minutes, death resets this.
Just to elaborate on this, the idea is that metal extractors take a while to 'charge up' and killing an enemy mex will reset its charge. With this game mode on raiding enemy mex's would become much more beneficial.
Not sure how it'll actually play so if anyone tries it or has any comments / suggestions please post here.

Yes. It doesnt reward raiding as much as it penalises expansion and encourages turtling.
Make e intensive units.

Re: the slow starts it may be a case that more start metal is needed on this mode, otherwise refer to greenfields
There is a scaling boost to how long they take to charge so they charge a bit faster in the first 5 minutes

I'll have to check the code when I get home, it was ~4 minutes default I believe

its more rewarding for core, raiding core with drones is almost impossible + it will result in slower expansion (llt near each mex)

hmm btw, 125% is bit too much
also, i came up with an idea to do this for metal makers, like - they get fully efficient after 1 min

You mean 1 minute after being built or 1 minute every time turned on? Latter would be fun to fuck up ppl who dont calculate but just spam mms relying on widget :D
