it apears that :
1 spring is only winxp compatibl
2 3do builder2.1 is VERY winxp nocompatibl (compatiblless?)

3dobuilder2.1 is very more eficient(copy/past funct) that ver2.0b8

is spring developers dont like the builders/modders/modlers ???
maybe the devlopers use another prog that 3dobuilders2.1?
or this lords don t modeliz units and don t care for the labors
(a nice day i will try TAspring ...)

The SYs don't make their own units... the XTA units are all from OTA or other unitmakers.

2.1 works for me in XP if I stop it from loading textures, which allows me to use its face removal functions and copy/paste.

There's nothing we can really do unless someone makes a new one.

Right-click on the 3do Builder.exe file. Go to the tab that says compatibility. Click the check box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:". Select Windows 98 / Windows ME in the pulldown box. Click apply, then okay, and all your problems with TA textures and files being corrupted, will disappear. Also if before you had a file go south and make the program crash, it will work now without any problems.

Someone sticky this! :wink:

3dobuilder2.1 don t crash on winme but textur are all black and not on v2.0b8 (sure i try to fix with choise textur for TA in menu and custom location too)

I haven't tried it myself, but I'm pretty sure with sufficient ram and CPU speed and a decent graphics card, current drivers and directX 9 it will run on Windows98SE... it's even been tested to work under Linux running WINE on a 98SE framework.

When he said windows 98SE is better, he meant it was better then Windows Millenium Edition... also, in case you didn't know, "compatibility mode" in WindowsXP is a virtual environement for running programs desingned for earlier versions of windows.

Guys...it's NOT compatibility problems, it's hardware incompatibility, I even got the texture bug in 98!!

open 3dobuilder, click view, click OpenGL view, click fix corrupted textures.

This SHOULD do it...good luck men...

Sorry guys my bad. The fix I posted is for Win XP. Also don't forget to enable in 3do Builder "Fix corrupted textures" in the View/Open GL view. That should solve your problems.

By the way what they are saying about Win ME is simple. In lame mans terms, Win XP Pro good/ Win XP home EVIL! Same thing for Win 98-98SE good/ Win ME EVIL! Theres your answer. It's a basic more fluff and less important features.
