Sudden death game end mode

This may not have been well thought through , but would it be good to have a "sudden death mode" where each team has to keep all of their commanders alive? It would encourage people to defend their teammates and to be much more aggressive, but in large games it would give unpredictable results. To counter this problem, there could be an option where 2 dead commanders makes a team lose.

Both game end modes and all of the existing ones (and many more) could be represented by a field and a checkbox:

Checkbox title: No commander, no control
Explanation: If this box is checked, a player with no commanders cannot control their units.

Field title: Number of commanders required
Range: 0-16
Explanation: The number of commanders required for a team to stay alive. 0 means that all a team's units must be killed for them to die. 1 means that all a team's commanders must be killed. If the value of this field is equal to the number of players on a team, then any commander's death will kill the player's entire team. If the field is negative, then it will be interpreted as (number of players on team) + (field).

Solution: 3 players band together, spam bombers quickly and win.
Or 3 guys spam flash, and kill the enemies front player fast.
Too easy.

Yes, when one side has everyone coordinate, and the other side has everyone pretend they're in a 1v1, it does tend to be too easy to win. It's really not that easy to kill a commander that knows you're coming.

I don't see the advantage over comm lineage.

Lineage only takes out a fraction of your units and doesn't have the "cooperate or DIE" feel to it.

yeah but realistically how many games of lineage have the team that loses the first commander still end up winning?

Not many. The sudden death game end mode can also require two commanders to die, though.

Basically only if both sides lose a comm around same time - same explosion or just independent of each other in very short time. But I think it's just more interesting to continue from that point than have the game end.

How about the first time a commander is lost in the game, a countdown shows up and the team with less commanders has a fixed amount of time to even up the commander numbers?
