Error at position 69 near "

Whenever I try to start a game, it crashes out after loading and gives me this error:

Content error
Error at position near"

TEMP temp;
TEMP shadow,tempC" when loading fragment program file groundFPshadow.fp

[OK]

This has worked on this (and much worse) hardware before. I'm using a Dual-core 4GB Laptop with an intel G965 chipset. I'm looking for a more recent driver for this machine, but I thought I'd put this up for examination while I do that.

I'm using the most recent version of the drivers, it turns out.

I can't find that file, or anything like it. Do you mean general.cfg? That doesn't have a "shadows=" line. It doesn't even use that syntax.

Seriously, how do I fix this?

EDIT: Oh.

Does it mean "autodetect"? sprinsettings app sets there 1 or 0. Or -1 & 1 values are the same?

I installed a more recent version of the game and it seems that Springsettings.cfg has been moved again. I did a quick search of my computer and was unable to find it.

What settings do I need to change now?

0 is off, can be toggled ingame. -1 is completely disabled.

That error really should get caught.

It hasn't moved unless you used the portable package; then it's in the spring folder. And what do you mean 'again'?

Everything's in order, now.
