Timeout assumed - TA Spring lobby.

Ive been having an ongoing problem with the spring lobby, dating back atleast 10 to 12 months!
For some reason I keep getting timed out with the following:
[13:27:43] Timeout assumed. Disconnecting ...
[13:27:43] Connection to server closed!
Occasionally its fine, but majority of the time (like today) I only have a few minutes at best - just before timeout occurs, it tends to also run very slow, for example chat, and ready/unready team selection will be delayed before catching up some 5 or 10 seconds afterwards.
Ive never really bothered about it as I knew the previous router was on its way out, however after changing to a new Netgear its still persisting (im not using wireless).
Reformatted a number of times, fresh installations, no difference.
As soon as its launched ingame it runs fine, perfect, and ive got no other problems with anything else web related. Only the TA Spring lobby.
When I first started playing spring a few years back I never use to have lobby problems, its only since last year.
Any suggestions or ideas?
