Why is there no Music Gadget with on/off dynamic with random

Why is there no Music Gadget with on/off dynamic with random order have been made yet? I thought this was trivial, I know Pure has one, but Argh won't sell it out to TA mods, and it has no dynamic settings at the moment, in fact not even random.

a music widget that could be loaded / used by any mod would be amazing

I'll pay $50 for it.

Really? I was thinking of doing an "advanced" music widget with ingame graphical configuration and faked crossfading, along with some better "battle" detection algorithms after I finished fixing ctf for the new Spring version.

I'd work on it if spring didn't freeze randomly...

Never got to finish mine, mainly because (AFAIK) there is no way to get the position of the current playing song, or at the very least the possibility to change the volume of the currently playing track. If I had that, I think I could write a pseudo-fade-in/out code and get a random music player. The battle detection stuff can probably be added afterward by someone more experienced in Lua. ;P

Hmm, thinking about what you said, I need to rethink my strategy as well...All this after tomorrow though.

Are they in current Spring or do I have to get an SVN version?

Just to update, I have figured out the pseudo fade-out thanks to Lurker. I currently have the player using commands that can stop, fade out and stop, or fade out and change the songs. :D So what's left would be:
Auto random play (easy, I guess)
Dynamic Based On Action (not sure how to go about this)
a GUI switch? (Should be easy, though I'd think F11 to disable is enough?

)
