Do you need root to install the slakware version?

I don't want to use root to install the spring engine :| . Is there any way around using root? :?:

note: I'm not sure to put this in help or linux; I put it in linux because it's about linux.

If you compile spring, you can just run it from there without installing. If you have a package, you just need to extract the files and I think it will work. You'll want a .springrc file to tell it where the base folder is, or there is an env variable you can set.

I found out that I can just a library called wine, which allows linux to run some windows programs. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Yeah if your using slack and only just found wine too you must be pretty new. Ubuntu is probably better suited.
