its lit by the light from the sun i presume (ask jk) the water isnt finished so it could probably be corrected

first, (cos of #main chat) the water doesn't always look such shiny and it can be much more transparent (depends on angle and map settings). At best to try it yourself :p

yeah, the new map options are:
* FresnelMin(=0.2), FresnelMax(=0.3), FresnelPower(=4.0) (define the refraction->reflection transition)
* WaterSpecularFactor(=20.0) <--
* WaterSpecularColor(=groundSunColor) <--
* WaterSurfaceAlpha(=0.55)
* WaterFoamTexture(DynWater uses this, too)
* WaterNormalTexture(bumpmap)
PS: there will come more new options

As far as I understand this is more of a replacement for the low end water renderers then the dynamic water renderer.

Thats just CA, in CA the sea transport is cheaper and open-topped, so you can shoot from it etc. Much more useful than the old sea transport.
