I'm dissapointed that you expect to play anythign more complex than minesweeper on integrated chip sets that cost pennies to make. Especially if those chipsets are Intel based.
However, what chipset? What OS? What version drivers? What make of laptop and model number? Service packs? How much ram is allocated to the graphics shared memory? What version of spring are you running? etc

This has nothing to do with the GPU; spring is failing to connect.

So when we try to play a game together, her screen gets to "Connecting to server" an then the font kind of duplicates itself an overlaps over the original.... so it looks like Coonneecctiinng ttoo sseerrvveerr lol.

i guess you never tried the current version since that is pretty normal behaviour in case you're unable to connect to the server
EDIT: chimera, try hosting a solo game for just yourself, you should go past the connection screen without problems

yeah, that happens then the game just closes, I'll try a solo game in just a sec, as for the guy asking for spec's;
Processor - Intel Centrino Pentium M Processor 750
Chipset - Intel 915GM
Memory - 1024 MB DDR2 (2 x 512 MB) SODIMM
GPU - Graphics Media Accelerator 900
The OS is XP Media Center..
as for the graphics/chipset drivers, they haven't released any new updates since January 07, but they're the most recent ones.
As I said, the game did use to work fine on the laptop a good few month back, but since coming back to play Spring again it hasn't worked.
I downloaded the most recent version of Spring from the spring-clan, the most recent version doesn't work but the older version did.

Re: *edit* client problem (not GPU as I orginally thought xP)

Please ignore all my previous posts as I've now tested hosting Spring on different PC's, all giving the exact same problem.
I've now tested this on 2 PC's, one running XP Pro and the other running Vista 32-bit.
So its not down to the GPU as I mentioned previous, so it must be down to the client itself.
When I tried to connect using the PC's, they did the exact same thing as what it did on the laptop, it does this for about 15/20 seconds then quits to the lobby with no error.
As for "its the graphics card", its not, one PC has a nvidia card (6800 Ultra) and the other has a ATi x1950 1GB Pro, both have the most up-to-date drivers available.
I've also tried running Spring past the router with both PC's, so its not down to my router either.
Help!
