Crashes and Disconnections
Posted: 14 Feb 2008, 02:04
My friends and I have been getting a lot of crashes and random disconnections in the last few revisions of spring but especially 0.76b1.
Here are the systems as best as i can remember:
1
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @2.4 gHz
3GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia 8600GTS stock
Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit
2
AMD64 3700+ @ 2.2 gHz
1GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia 7600GT stock
Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit
3 - Laptop
Intel Celeron @ 2.0 gHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
Intel integrated graphics i think
XP Home SP2
4 - Laptop
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.0 gHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia GoForce 7600
Windows Vista Home Basic 32bit
5 - Laptop
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.2 gHz
4GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia GoForce 7600
Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit
6 - Macbook, don't know the specs, he is dual booting XP and Tiger, I'm sure the mac has its own problems running spring so don't worry about it.
What happens is we start a game either on a LAN or on the official server and we will play between 20 and 60 minutes and the game will just crash (usually on the host first, computers 1, 2, or 3 usually host) and give us the "Spring has crashed, see info log" message. Other times it will kick a player randomly, even on a hardwired LAN with a brand new router, and then crash minutes later. The mods are AA 2.23, BA 6.0 and 6.1, NOTA 1.40, World Domination V5B65, none of us have any LUA or UI mods or anything like that, we just installed the client and dropped in our mods. Some of the games we play against 1-3 RAI or AAI opponents. It happens on all maps, Speed Metal, Coast to Coast, Altored Divide, Castles, Small Supreme Battlefield, etc. Computer 2 also has a problem recognizing mods even after they have been properly installed. We've all tried reinstalling so I'm not sure whats next. Thanks in advance.
