Interface dissapears on Vista

Whenever I am playing, this happens with any mod, my interface and cursor disappear after some time, and Spring doesn't react to any mouse and key presses anymore, except Tab, which zooms the map in and out. It keeps on working normally, but I can't use my mouse or keyboard anymore. If I am fast, I can smash my Shift button, and the interface appears again, and disappears after some time again. The Shift trick doesn't work anymore then. I am using version 75b2, on Vista Premium version. The only way to quit spring is by doing Ctrl+Alt+Del and shutting it down from there. I have no infolog, because Spring doesn't crash. What would be the cause of my problem?

90% chance you're using an ATI graphics card.
Sadly ATI driver development for vista is lagging behind, especially in the open GL department. You'll just have to keep updating your drivers and hope for the best.

Indeed, I have an ATI Radeon X1650. What's also interesting, is that ground decals disappear too in EE.

It happens on my laptop too x1100 express
All the ground turns cyan blue after a few seconds of jittering coloured lines. All units and features dissapear along with the gui and only the minimap and the cyan blue ground is rendered.
we'll just have to hope catalyst 8.xx drivers fix this when they're released.

That's not what happens in my case. I don't get jitter or a cyan ground. The units don't disappear as well.

I have this on W_xp, radeon x600... Even with catalyst 8.1...

Ok, today I have launch this on Tecra S1 (win 2000sp4, radeon 9000 mobility. Video driver from Toshiba.com (page for model tecra s1).)
No malfunctions with menus...

As one gentleman allready said, use catalyst 7.11 or older. It really helps.
