Phonomenal,

SLOW DOWN ...

Making springs maps isn't easy ... they take time. There are lots of
tools to help make you map too. Also, their is bugs with mapconv too.

Here is a list of issues I know about:

* Can't use .bmps over 600 mb for the main texture { use jpg for main texture}
* Can't make a map over 34x34 in size
* Geos sometimes adds more Geos on the map ( don't know why)
* Geos don't show on the map due to mountains too high
* 2 more I can't remember :lol:

Utils to help with making the map

TASMapMaker - VERY good util in compiling the map :wink:
StartPos - use the mini.bmp to help select player positions
Waterline - a very helpful util
SMFED - very good tool too
SMD Creator - has issues, but still good if used correctly ..

Also, a good paint app too ..

I use Gimp2 and MS Paint and custom utils on my maps ..

Also you have to have the right formula for the map sizes right ..

textures map 1 unit = 512 so a 8x8 map is 4096x4096
height map texture value divide by 8 plus 1 pixel, so 4096 / 8 = 512 + 1 =513
metal map texture value divide by 8 plus 1 pixel, so 4096 / 8 = 512 + 1 =513
feature map texture value divide by 8 , so 4096 / 8 = 512 = 512

(option feature)

type map texture value divide by 8 plus 1 pixel, so 4096 / 8 = 512 + 1 =513

Their is a lot of helpful tips in the forums. You are going to need to
read up on them and ask question too.

Also, stick with it ... In time you will learn to make them and it will
help you out in other games too ( Supcom)

You can't use uneven numbers - it screws the compiling. ie: dont make a map that's 13x15 and so on...

Phonomenal, you sound like a 7 year old child when you post like that. Use a normal tone and i have an amazing idea: try telling us what is the problem! so we can try to help instead of just lashing out like that, lucky for you genblood is a nice guy - i wouldn't have bothered helping someone who talks like that, only reason i posted is to help genblood.

I was overboiling and had to unleash my frustation somewhere...as there are no good maps for 1944, only that "bockage" map...but no geovents there, so neither RAI or KAI is well playable in it...like...they want to make planes so much that wont do anything else unless they have them... -.-

so...well....I got all the 4 images and they are the size they are required to be... the "putting it all together" is a hell...I mean...HELL...well.. Hell goes too.... all the smd and/ whatever other million different files needed..... -.-

PS: maybe I am 7 yo ;)
PSS: sorry about all the "..." but thats the way I am...I would use them in speech too, If I knew how >_>

According to the etymology of "profanity" it was primarily used to refer to blasphemy, so yes "god damn" is a profanity. However nobody cares about blasphemy anymore, therefore you got away with it on a technicality because that meaning of the word is archaic :P
