Being a mod is about being impartial and tolerant, and being nice to crazy people and massive jerks explaining the rules to them without offending them somehow, while they are almost always for some reason the most offendable people ever. Being an admin is about investigating both sides of the story every time, giving people another chance when they don't really deserve it, and being compleatly and totally responsible for your actions and opinions in a matter because you have covered your bases and done your recearch.
Modding may seem like it's alot of fun, but it's alot of work and responsibility at the same time. I hate banning people, I hate dealing with jerkoffs who just want to cause trouble, the reason I continue to moderate is because I like to help people and I want to contribute my part to the spring comunity, since I'm a fairly nontalented coder and don't have the patience to deal with the art stuff.

And its about not being a power hungy user who wants the privilledges that come with moderatorship.
Be honest, thats the only reason you wanna be one, so you can kick and mute people, whcih is abusing those powers which rules you out as a candidate.

True enough, I'd say that really any person who has an agenda of things they would do if they did become a mod (people they would ban/mute, topics they would lock/delete, posts they would edit) would make a bad mod candidate.
It's compleatly and totally inapropriate for mods to pick on people.

Indeed, moderators should be transparant and more or less invisible unless called upon.

Bah. Wait... I'm Nubile? Should I be worried that you're saying that?
Anyway, once again, I vollonteer to basicly do whats called Intermittant Moderation of the client. Basicly, whenever I'm logged in, at my PC and awake. Like I do on a lot of IRC channels.

Of course not! Their is a fair and balanced method of picking moderators from the community...
Duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, moderator, duck....
