4 buttons and my hands never left the keyboard. Wiki?
ctrl+t, w, tab, <search query>
Never had to program this or set it up. I used the searches once and it KNOWS. Creepy? Maybe.
Opera invented this at least 8 years ago.
And nobody cared, because it was Opera, which is smugger than Mac somehow in my eyes.

It's really not a big deal in Firefox.
Ctrl+k
Ctrl+down until I see the t-rex smoking a pipe (mycroft)
Type the search I want (like youtube)
Click on youtube search, add.

I only add the search engines I want. Then it's ctrl+K.

It's also fast, and fairly free of bugs.

press F11 in FF?

Except this goes full screen, and I have not figured out a way to prevent this from going full screen.

I want a minimal bar (like Chrome) at all times, not just a full screen version.

Note with fascination how it turned out to "let's bash Caydr" though :P

Funny that you say that. The final quote of his post:
"Why not just use Chrome, you ask? No adblock yet."

Chrome has AdBlock now. Woot.

Why should I spend all my time downloading and installing each one of those things, when Chrome has them by default?

So far, each and every argument against Chrome has been "here's how you can make Firefox sorta do that" but it requires
A)Some menu or configuration
B)Installation of plugins (which are probably not as optimized as built-in features)

I'm not going to spend all my time turning a Volkswagon into a Porsche. I'm just going to go with the Porsche and call it a day. (Especially if they are both free).

Chrome plugins can be as simple as javascript, they're a lot easier and faster to build, and to get them running after install, a page refresh is all you need, no restarting the whole browser.

They all have nice html options pages too
