this movie wasn't any good acting-wise but there were some good fight scenes. check out that knife headshot while horizontal swinging on the power line in the trailer

You guys liked The Expendables? :( I didn't even enjoy it in the ironically moronic way I thought I would, just a terrible movie in every way.

Bubba Hotep on the other hand... (It has Bruce Campbell playing Elvis!)

The Expendables was a piece of shit....
i mean the movies it was suppose to give homage to are way better...
Those rate b action movies in arnold's and silvester's time are still leagues better than this trash.

They are making a movie called Apollo 19 now, something about 'why we never returned to the moon.'
That might be fun.

What did you guys think of "Thor"? IMDB gave it 7.2 which is pretty good but I thought it was meh. :/

i have seen "Revolutionary Road" yesterday. very good movie!
its about the dynamics of a half-assed "liberal" couple in the 50ies. (no action of course)

this is also probably the first movie where i though the music is actually making it better instead of worse (like... artificially over-emotionalizing the thing). i think music should at most be very subtle, if it is about delicate stuff.

pretty good.................................... for a superhero movie. if spiderman gets such a high notes then why u surprised. for me fgtman is worst of all marvel/dc superhero movies.

watched green lantern and cpt. america. there is something wrong with me or holiday sun boiled my brain but these were also pretty good (lantern could use more action tho)

Just finished watching Enter the Void.
It was almost an experience. Can't really say whether I liked it but at the same time I don't regret having watched it. Visually amazing work, thats for sure.

watched a ton recently... here were the shiny ones

a bittersweet life

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0456912/

korean gangster movie; watch for the lamp symbolism. also : a sick fight where someone gets stabbed with a flaming log. fans of korean mindfuck movies (ex oldboy) will be in a familiar place with the style and pace.

super

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1512235/

dwight schrute loses his recovering addict wife to kevin bacon. teams with ellen page and commits acts of vigilante violence. a sad, depressing movie. there is a nice parody of the infamous anime tentacle rape.

hesher

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1403177/

the kid from 3rd rock is now grown up into an insane metalhead drifter. he moves into dwight schrutes house; violence, vandalism and assorted shennanigans ensue. a depressing one; you'll need a hug afterwards if you get into it. oh and it's got natalie portman, rawr

also i saw bridesmaids and quite enjoyed it;

anyways i'll shut up now but the three that i mentioned there were pretty good

just and fyi, I did track going all the way down and watched it again. I forgot how good this movie is but if you don't like a lot of artsy cinematography stuff it may be too surreal for you at parts.
