Weird awesome!
Port TA to DS :D :D :D.
I'm pretty sure you could acully do it. With massive amount of work involed.
But if they can put doom on an iPod...

you need ipodlinux though.
It's very cool, you can run videos, play doom and the gameboy emulator has sound since a couple of days. (woot pokemon silver under boring school lessons!)
(yes I'm running linux on my ipod nano for some time)
If I could code decent, I would make an siple RTS for it, or maybe heroes of might and magic clone... hmmm....
note, linux on the ipod clocs it around 75 mhz and has 32 mb ram. So it wouldn't be even enough for the pathfinding.

I used to run TA on my P1, 66 MHz and a whopping 8 mb ram, so I think it's quite feasible

I am most definately a girl. If this was flint I would be a nerd and speak non-stop about EE.
I did the voice files for EE, actually.

Yes, I've been told you're apparently the one we occasionally hear in the background.

Illuminating. The appearence of a girl gamer is an event due to the rarity. (In an RTS context, I mean.)
This event could potentially make the gamer feel uncomfortable due to the 'mock horror' or 'mock shock' posts that appear, especially as tone of voice does not carry over an electronic medium well and people are bad at compensating for this. This could in turn discourage ladies from entering these traditionally male-dominated environments, making the occasional exception more notable, bringing us into a vicious circle.
That and this poll is unlikely to be representative - a topic labelled 'sex?' would likely be ignored by the majority of ladies who (with some justification) might expect the topic to be filled with sordid discussions and innuendo, even on well moderated forums such as this.
So...
Best to treat this as a non-event, and apply all rights and responsibities to all forumers, without discrimination. This will break out of the vicious circle.
Based on the above, I'll give you odds 2:1 that Claire was alerted to this thread by Flint for the sake of a balanced view.
Am I right?
EDIT: I'm a guy, if you're wondering. I've just put an awful lot of thought into the whole division between the sexes thing, and try to understand how women think.
FURTHER EDIT: Women are better represented in the Army than they are here. I don't think a genetic, natural aversion to violence or losing is the source of this, my guess would be cultural conditioning.
Good job on the voices, Claire.

Forboding has twice pounded my base into a squalid heap of oxidising metal and decaying human flesh yet I am yet to hear these "voices".

Haha, actually Flint told me about the forums, so I decided to take a look. I saw this thread and immediately thought, heres gonna be a good laugh and it turned out to be about gender. So I posted.
So yes and no on that bet. And thanks.
Bruce: I think they were saying they were having problems with the voices working...Fang knows. Not I.
