Nope, we broke it, we don't get to leave until we've fixed it.
Yeah... same thing for Iraq... do you know how long it took the US to leave Germany and Japan after they occupied them after WWII? 7 years for Japan 10 years for Germany... and the "Russians" stayed in their part of Germany for 55... (this is based on brief Wikipedia research... but it was still a long enough time)

And this was after a full surrender with no neighbouring countries sending in insurgents or whatever.

Yeah but as a member of the conquering tribe you get first pick on the conquered men's daughters.

I'm not getting this. He's dead. Who gives a fuck if he was armed or not or if his wife got caught in the crossfire, etc etc etc.

This isn't the fucking kennedy assassination. A bad man is dead. Yay! Now, lets all eat cake and be happy for a moment.

first of all, fact that he was hidden in pakistan is highly embarasing for both, usa and pakistan (pakis gonna be usa bitch for now tbh)

secondly im very suprised that he had proper for arab countries funeral. its pretty strange and unbelivable for me that they 'buried' (well actually they just threw him into the sea) most wanted terrorist after 24h (one of the islam rules)

i bet Obama was that big

My point wasn't that I care about how he was killed, it was about how they said one thing then changed the story within 24 hours (the fluid truth).

the media spouts off irresponsible crap all the time filling in gaps etc. Good journalism doesn't exist anymore it is all about pushing ideologies and making our minds for us.

^^ This.

Well spliff, think about it this way. YOu get a note from some commander in the middle of pakistan saying that osama is dead and with a few other details. Obama being who he is (to a fault) immediately sets up a press conference. He relays what details he has and uses a little bit of educated guessing to fill the gaps. Media takes it a bit further and before 20 minutes have gone by, you have an alternate version of what went down. Ok so maybe obama should have waited to say shit. Who gives a damn. it makes him look good! Of course he instantly touted it. Every other single president in history would have done the same thing.

Why are you trying to blame a politician for being a politician, and what good do you expect to come of it?

Oh yes. Bin Laden's ties with the US go a long ways back. Controllable religious zealots are always useful.

It's just their word about the funeral, for all we know they could've pissed and jacked off on the corpse, carve swastikas on his skin, and call it proper muslamic burial.

Well at least they're not a hydra where if you cut off one head two grow back in it's place... and one of them spits poison and the other breaths fire.

Sea stars can grow entirely new sea stars. At least they don't have those awesome regeneration capabilities.

Its all bull shit obama wants to be reelected.

Nobody knows who they killed or if they killed anybody at all and who they threw into the sea. (how convinient)
Its no difference at all if they killed the scapegoat or if he died 10 years ago or if he never existed.
They couldnt proof it was him behind the terror attack they had only some bad videos that could be faked very easily.
Some arabs mumbling in their beards with a very bad video quality.

hey don't forget the million iraqis killed becasue of this conflict.....but i dont think "true" Americans are alowed to count them as people

after his death american will still use "al qaeda" as an excuse to suppress/invasion of privacy/deploy further control over it's people.....and justify war

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Power_of_Nightmares

i recomend for everyone to see that(it is also very interesting how neurotic/self-deceptive ex-government officials act in some of the interviews)
