The path-finding issue may be common knowledge in dev & modder circles but outside we don't really know what is going on, we just see the results. Seeing as how this thread is posted in general discussion I don't see why someone uninformed can't come in and be curious.

You know EXACTLY what si going on because there is an exhaustive log of commits to the source code with a message log, timestamps, dates, who made it, from where they made it, what files where changed, how much they changed, what was removed, what was added, what was modified etc etc
There is no excuse for lack of knowledge outside of ignorance.

imo you should have to read through the pathfinding code b4 downloading spring. replace end-user license in installer with pathfinder code, add a short quiz to make sure the players understand that they will ragequit b4 getting units out of factory.

anyone who has the time to sit here and spend their time in writting posts complaining about the pathfinder has the time to lookup the github commit log, and notice that pathfinder changes have been made, and thus avoiding the embarrassment of asking for it to be fixed in this thread =p

I myself posted a url to commits on the feed on the previous page, and hoijui has posted links to the test builds thread with links to the changes too. The commit feed is also featured on the right in a big box on the development page from the top menu

Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. Either that or there are no stupid questions, just stupid people. Pick one.
But seriously, reading a page of this thread would have netted him that information.
