Meh, I wouldn't make it infinite. Right now you try to do it, more often than not it turns into a disorganized mess as people setup and it gets autolocked at 8v8. Ill agree with the other parts although(maybe with a slight boost to 8v8 due to shinanigans)

ok so lets talk about BA
people play 8v8 in a map made for up to 5v5
what does this tells you?

8v8s arent bad, its just that playing only this type of matches is shit

8v8s compared to 3v3s are totaly diferent
i miss 3v3s and 4v4s, theres less porc fest and spam imo
more tactic gameplay...........

And also why people dont use diferent mods as a complement, i do that, i play 2v2 NOTA when i like spaming and a macro game. I play XTA when i like microing smal units. I play BA when i want a game that resembles TA and its glory.

And btw, if we discuss about these things here on formus, it won't help. You see, dsd nubs dont even know that spring forums exist, so basically if you wanted to make a change, we have 2 options; a) ban dsd from spring or vice versa b) make spring support games only up to 12/14 players, I would personally like 12 more.

Here are my experiences with a number of games varying in player count. I'd put non-Spring RTS titles on there, but their curves aren't competitive.

Sigh...when non math students try to do math stuff XD...all your graphs imply that there can be non whole number of players.
Didn't know 1.5 players can have an awesome experience playing any pc game..

Partial players are either sharing or spectators. I thought that would be obvious.

Needs more AA and a few antinukes and jammers. Entry level porc definitely, though the depthcharges are a nice touch.

I dont think the number of players influence the awsomeness of the game. Point is it is difficult to find 16 good skilled player to play 8vs8. That is the reason why small game 3vs3, 4vs4 are felt to be far more awsome by poeple who play them. It is up to the communauty to learn players how to play. Some clans are doing that (I know pink and mars clans for exemple) and it would be great if more of them were involved in player trainning. Atm, some veteran player are not able able to play descently cause they only played DSD (one norvegian racist to give for exemple). It is kind of our fault too ...

I think having MORE players isnt the issue, its the TYPE of players you get in an 8v8 thats the issue

Yeah, bots don't cry over settings or map and won't ask impatiently why it didn't start yet etc.. Image chat that with 100+ players in battle room from experience with 32 players.
