If I view the maps list, I can scroll and search (browser search (firefox)) it.

If I click on the numbers to show the other maps they will be displayed. But I can not scroll any more. At least not when the mouse is over a grey cell of the table. If the mouse is over the the yellowish background or the side scrolling works. And I can not search anymore: If a search for a map it will not be found - even throw when I go down the list I find it manually.

I think it is a problem with JavaScript. This problem is really bothersome when you want to find a map.

Are my gmod files still safe? And also, my Spring mods and such?

links to UF on Spring main download page are currently still broken:

The requested URL /file/3245/Spring_.75b2_Full_Installer/ was not found on this server.

P.S. whoever is responsible, might want to consider a fixed package with AAI.dll that doesn't crash, and new otacontent etc.

Any chance all the old files get uploaded again?

Fastest way is that everyone goes to look their stuff up and then reuploads what ever went missing. And don't bitch if you didn't keep a local copy, that's your fault.

On a different note, since the files are still physically there as you said, who's gonna clean the mess up? I mean you could end up with every file being there twice unless your servers have some magic bottomless hardisks or something like that. :P

They're stored with their MD5 checksum as filename so if you upload exactly the same file again the old file will be overwritten...

Short password

Eh, you probably heard, but I found nasty problem - I can't upload to UF anymore, in fact I can't log in. UF tells me my password is too short (5 digits), it's the password UF sent me months ago. I can't change it, I can't log in... why you are testing pass on *login*? It should be only done when you are creating or changing pass.

I also ran into that problem. My old pass was 5 chars, now the new sites filter wont accept anything less than 6

No, it isn't my fault I don't have backups, I know that this has been talked about for a long time, but you gave no warning on the main page, at least tell me my files are somewhere, and that they will be fixed soon.

Of course it is your own fault. Always keep backups.

You can't blame cup or UF, it's basically a free file hosting service. What if you had hosted all your stuff on, say, rapidshare and it goes out of business tomorrow?

Anyway, the files are still there, only the file information are gone. So there might be a chance to recover some lost stuff at least. Not as long as cup is gone though.

Pay attention, this is not cup's fault, he did not randomly pull the plug on uf. His ISP wiped his servers a week before they were supposed to. Your files are still mirrored, you just don't have links to them.

good

That's all I'm worried about, when he does return and fix it, this should all get straightened out.

There's a problem with that. We can't view files according to author anymore.
