- I did not harass you for a replay, you didnt even give me a chance and closed the battle after exiting.
- You know full well my US flag is because I'm an AOL user. Saying that me living on the eastern coast is no excuse is stupid, you forgot the gigantic stretch of water called the atlantic ocean, ireland, and the irish sea. 5AM GMT, not east US.

You're the provoker. You have atatcked unprovoked repeatedly and then complained when I defended myself.ONCE AGAIN I will not be BULLIED, and this time it's by SLANDER I will not allow your lies to flow ceaseless anymore AF, you can say what you want but don't you dare ruin my reputation, I do enough of that for myself!- You appear to have registered here for the sole purpose of attacking me in threads, odd that prior to this thread you had no interest in these forums whatsoever.
nevermind, you know what really happened and so do I
for the record, you're full of crap
also, for those who wish me to be on topic
AF: I figured out which version to use quickly, seems like everyone else in my game did too... you're the only one I've run into that's had this big a deal with it...

I didn't say it wasn't in his right, I said it was petty. To explain the difference: it would be completely in my right to kick you from all my games from now on because we disagreed in this thread, but it would be ridiculously petty.rattle wrote:Nah, it's his right to do so. Let me introduce you all to the concept of a drama bomb.
Much like weapons-grade uranium, drama can violently explode, if a critical mass of it is collected in one place. Such an explosion is catastrophic. It goes on and on, and gets bigger and bigger and bigger until finally it allows anonymous login, gets a server on 28k in Rwanda, and becomes 4chan. But that only happened once.

Or maybe if the initial thread was allowed to live, there wouldn't have been matter to dramatise about? Too strong forum moderation leads to resent that eventually explode into drama like here. But then too lax moderation make any forum deteriorate down to an outlet of 4chan. If not just a void spambot ground.Nah, it's his right to do so. Imagine how much trouble or unnecessary drama it would stir up. This thread's a prime example.
After reading most of this thread, as many of the posters I do agree with both points of view but I disagree with both behaviors.
The initial post is not very nice. I tried to help with spring development and this always envolves more work and time that I have, so even if I would make mistakes I would not like to hear things like "sheer incompetence". Probably I wouldn't mind that much because I do not care that much what X and Y or A or B have to say, but if there are more sensitive people it is better to keep a constructive tone. Like how to do things, propose some to coordinate and etc.
I do agree that raising a problem is important, but usually the solution implies communication among people - so if the raising of the problem does tense the athmosphere it is not very good.
We should ask what can we do now..... (when we have a full flamewar).
It would be nice to know the opinion of the rest of the XTA forum so maybe a pool like:
- AF is right, tone is ok, unban him
- AF is right, tone is not ok, unban him
- AF is right, but he should have come with a solution, unban him
- AF is right, unban him if he comes with a solution
- AF is right, but he sparkles to big debates, let him banned
- AF is wrong
And of course it would be nice to have a plan to avoid this in the future. As I am not involved in the development process I can't come up with any proposition, but there should be at least a person that know this (only one, or mostly two) so that we do not have 'conflicts'.
And, as pintle suggested, lock this thread :)

Re: major utter complete epic fail reposted
Now that time has passed, I think the dev team is officially afraid of making any mistakes. I disagree, this has been worth it.
