I'm going to get it now I like how the units look DON'T CHANGE IT!!!!
Just tried it, nice mod, the units look awesome, but the build speeds are slow
I like the idea but the weak units take a long time the build and the better units don't take much long more or less eliminating the purpose of the weak unit.

I'm not planning on changing it, just the tank's/plane's names. And don't worry about any of that, it's pretty much fixed in the next release. Which will be out as soon as I get the armor.txt file to work

I'm assuming the lack of textures is intentional? In which case, you could really call it TRON - MOD if you made it so that the units change colour based on teamcolour...

They do, the colour you see is shaded team colour. What do you mean by "TRON - MOD" exactly?

Wow, I'm glad people like it

. And like I said, as soon as I get the Armor.txt file to work I'll release PA3, it has a few new units in it:
- 3 Builders (military, economy and defence)
- Energy/Metal storage
- Metal Maker
- Air transport

Also, tons of balance fixes, the stronger units actually take longer to build now.

be sure to make a stealth and cloakable combat engineer who can sneak behind an enemy base and maek units.
ooh, and a really heavy unit that uses all your Energy to run but has about 20 turrets.
and, and a really spammable -1E air drone.
units should be able to fire from transports
light tanks should be anphibious to encourage people to use them over mediums in some situations.
had a mess around.
the fusion reactors shouldnt cost E to build.
the construction is way to slow. nobody will play a game where a metal extractor takes 1 minute to build by the fastest builder in the game. build speeds need to be quadrupled for this to become less tedious.
and also, would it be mean to say you should double the size of all the models? mods with tiny models never look right and are really really slow.

Leave the unit size as is or else I will kill 1 kitten every minute till it's changed.
Really, just add unit icons or increase view/LOD distance. This game NEEDS mods with tiny units. This rules!
And while I agree the buildspeed is rediculously slow, I think quad would be a lil too fast. A slow game is nice, but yes, it NEEDS a hand up till economy is established.

Okay, sorry but a few things:
I'm not changing the unit build speed, it's supposed to feel slow.
Units in this mod are supposed to move slow.
The units look right at a small size.
Remember that that upload is a PRE-alpha release, as in not what the game will feel like.
Forget any spamming planes, the point of the mod is to avoid that primarily. So adding one will defeat the purpose, if you want to play a mod like that play nanoblobz

You're already thinking about super units, I'm not even 5% done the FIRST tech level, slow down a bit.
Firing from transports maybe, I just don't want players to be able to do fly-bys with insanely strong land units. Transports will probably be able to carry 6 or so units each, but I'm not sure about the firing.
Light tanks are not going to be amphibious, you'll either use amphibious tanks or ships.
I'm not making a cloakable engineer. Maybe a radar jammed one, but trying to sneak behind the enemy to build troops is stupid, establish a base there and fortify it instead. Plus, how helpful could building a factory there be? Units take a while to build. Instead just get some air transports and fly them around.

You seem to be thinking about the same style of game that I'm thinking about.
And everyone, stop worrying about the build speeds. Your commander ISN'T going to be the only builder in the game. That's pre-alpha (as in not even an alpha version yet), so it's more to give you a very rough feel of the game.
Also, just to clarify. Don't ask for me to speed the game up or anything, because I want this mod to have LONG games. I'm mainly designing it for me and my bro because we wanted to play some really long/non spamming games.

Possibly for the Covert

. For now I'm not gonna use it though because it doesn't fit the Ops "style".
The one annoying thing I can see is the insane ammount of faces for the wheels

. I may remake those (if I use the model) if you don't mind. Because pretty much every unit in the mod so far have less (or just barely more than) 50 faces each.

I kinda want the sound to be "home made" if you know what I mean. I don't want to download any. I want this mod to be as original as possible.
Just a suggestion, try the mod on either "Altored_Earth" or "Risk v2" if you have a lot of free time. For some reason fighting on earth has a neat feeling to it.
Oh, random comment. Pre-Alpha 3 (once it's out) is completely independent, obviously you need spring installed, but it now no longer has even a single dependency
