I remember the US Military hosting a Automatic Driving Vehicel - ResearchGroup - who never managed that thing to work. Then they started to make those Races - through the Desert, - some other Conditions - and everybody could have a try, none of the Cars arrived in Time - but they still got much more then before...

so dont underistimate Inventers... they are worth there ideas and Experiments in Gold...

well, it stopped the bullet, there was witness's, it says so on wiki, but he wasnt in the armour at the time. probably woulda still broke his ribs.
but yeah, the fact it looks like robocop warns me he tends to go for looks over functionality. i mean, look at all his past suits. they were all painted and made to look "cool". army wants the real deal not a shiny film prop, yeah I wanna see video proof but the only video clip i found is them hitting with baseball bats, lol

A bullet doesn't necessarily constitute a bullet from an elephant rifle. A kevlar vest will stop a 45 magnum round, but an AK round goes through like butter.

Considering that to my knowledge the military doesn't currently possess an armor that can stop high velocity rifle munitions it's VERY impressive if this suit does indeed do that.

If it were a power suit, wouldnt an EMP gernade effectivly render it useless?

Either that or make it too heavy to be useful.

all the videos are just bats and stuff. they really do need to make video clips of it deflecting live fire with him in it. that'll make him either very famous or dead.

EMP should take care of it. Does it absorb lightning?

The current suit isn't power armor, it's just a full body armored shell.

I thought the exoskeleton would need electricity to work.

well... seeing as a swung baseball bat/2X4 has a great deal more momentum than a rifle round (esp. 5.65 NATO),

the video shows that the suit actually provides a great deal of protection from trauma

penetration on the other hand.....

this 1313 paste sounds way crazy though... apparently he was on a show (daily planet), and held an oxyacetylene blowtorch to his face (covered with the magic paste) for 20 minutes with no harm

its supposed to be as light as and more durable than ceramic plates, and better at stopping bullets too according to the wiki
you can spread it across any surface, eg. the skin of a jeep, and it cures just like that

??!!....if its so damn godlike why isnt he a rich fool yet?!

Baseball bat impacts, 1 do not have more momentum, and 2, are not even the same sort of impact as a bullet.. I dont know where you got that from..

This is all bullshit..

And I love how people are like, well if its power armor well just hit it with a emp grenade, or bomb.. HELLO people.. WE DONT HAVE EMP ANYTHINGS YOU DOOFUSES.. stop confusing BF2142 for the real world here..

Show me a military that uses them, outside of science fiction ;).

But they aren't exclusively EMP weapons, their primary function is immolation.

EMP devices are easy to make, but highly inefficient/low range.

God people and the EMP in nukes... LOL.. Nukes themselves do not inherently cause an EMP effect.. If you look at that description you will read that his EMP effect is caused by an in atmosphere burst of a nuclear weapon, IE in a different atmosphere or vaccum there would be no EMP effect..

Secondly dropping a nuke to disable some dudes power armor is a bit silly dont you think...

Why not, he'd be gone for good... as well as the surroundings. 8)
A bit expensive though.
