Great comic. Make more of them. Deathblane, Heze is a better player than me, its just that neither of us had played the map before, and I picked a better strat than him. I would say otherwise that the players were of equal skill. The two on the left were both nubs and you and LBPB were also about even. You guys lost because I could keep raiding both sides (after raiding Heze good at start) and making airdrops of mavs. Then my combombing of the most important part of Heze's base (and my allies attacking with me immediately after sealed the game). To their credit, my allies didn't need me to tell them to attack after I made that hole in the front line. On our side, it was an example of one of those relatively rare games where everything clicks with people you never played with before. It was those kind of games that got LCC started.Damn that's good. As with many things it's funny because it's true...
Still everyone has off days. The other night in fact I was playing a team game against Matt where I just couldnt concentrate and kept letting raiding partys (of Matts) through into the back of my base. My allies were a (relative) noob (who ended up crt+d'ing) and quite a good player, who continulelly helped me out untill I finally collapsed. It must have been quite annoying for him 'cause even if I had played just a bit better hed've had a fair chance of winning.

Not really what I'd call a lowlife - but a fun story I think.
Three player FFA on BOTA. Me, another star, and a rank 2 noob. Nothing against the noob - he played as well as you'd expect a player with his limited experience to play....
Noob starts with 'Please don't spam' - 'spam is not strategy'. I say 'so what do you want me to do? Send one peewee at time' Noob is regularly asking for metal. I even give him some - half of the metal I had the first time he asked - about 50 metal all up. He also keeps offering to trade energy for metal.
Everyone porcs a bit. I wonder over to explore map and eventually find noob sealed into a corner with 3 mexes and dragons teeth and llts. I think no point putting my horde of peewees into the porc of a player who is never gonna win so I move on to find the star. He is 'Fear the wall of death'. 'Don't come back unless you want to beg for mercy'. Peewee horde gets slaughtered by level 2 tanks come to attack noob.
And the noob doesn't want spam. What to do. How about I send my bombers over - all 6 of them. Lose 3 of them to wandering AA of other star. And bomb all his mexes and his advanced kbot lab.
Poor noob. At least I didn't spam him. But the other Star player - he got spammed.....

Over the weekend, Willeh and I were playing in a 3v3. The host was rank 1 so we went on his team whilst the other team was composed of seemingly average guys. Just after I had finished my kbot lab, I saw a transport plane fly over my base. I told my allies and quickly threw up a couple of missile towers. A minute later, I heard the distinctive boom of a commander exploding. I looked on the minimap and saw that where the noob host should be, there was nothing to be found. One of the players had combombed the noob.
Luckily, one Pewee had survived the blast, so I donated a con-bot to the host so he could start rebuilding. I hunted down and killed the combomber with 5 Pewees whilst Willeh took out another guy in short order. The remaining player then did the usual "3v1 waaaaaaaa" whine.
So, yeah, air combombing a host who's blatently completely new to the game is rather sad. What's even sadder is that they should have combombed me or Willeh.

But there are some holes on the story...
The first is that you couldnt fuel all those buildins and peewes with just 3 wind
generators.
The second is that you couldnt make that many lasers winhout energy.
The guy who yelled at me didnt telled why I shouldnt do that or what I should do instead, he just stayed there yelling at me.

The most distasteful experience in spring Ive had is when I was playing a well balanced 3v3 on canyons, it basically ended up me vs 2 other well known members of the community (star players), I was basically screwed, they had most of the map so I decided to try spamming brawlers and assasinating their comms, I got the first guy who gave his stuff before the comm popped, very irritating.
Anyway, I left 2 brawls to finish the comm off and went looking for the next one, what a shame he didnt build aa ^^ I found the com and boom, the entire map exploded and there was my tiny 1x1 base left in the corner hehe.
The player stormed off ts and the lobby then returned 5 minutes later to shout at me on ts because I didnt play fair, I pointed out that some aa may have helped, he said he didnt know I was building brawlers so why would he build aa, gave me a bit more abuse and left. MMMK.
New players doing silly things I can tolerate, speed metal players that tech in the first 3 mins I dont mind, what I absolutely hate is, good players who use unsportsmanlike exploits, but most of all, sore freaking losers, some players seriously act like theyre 5 :)

So thats my most irritating spring experience.

hahahaha Oh my god this exact thing happed to me.
I dont remember the game but it was me and hellspawn and some 2 stripe. We told him to build vechiles and not to rush tech right at the start. But then he decided to be a unique snowflake and rush mavericks (and then called gatorspam lame when he got blown up by it)
